Georg"Schorsch" Kempter can be just a gardener in a small Bavarian town, working day-in, day-out within his nursery, that will be facing insolvency. He doesn't like to talk about much. He never has. His marriage has lost all its magical and on top of thathe has trouble. Once he is flying into his biplane that is rickety, Schorsch feels truly free. When the owner of the golf class attempts to deceive Schorsch because of his money, claiming the colour of green of the bud Schorsch has implanted on the golf course is not right seems unavoidable. Therefore only when his airplane is about to be impounded, Schorsch strikes away in an attempt and catches the hands rod. He embarks on a journey to the unknown, to places he never seen before, full of strange and exceptional encounters - and with each take off and every landing, that tough man's heart warms up to exactly what you could call a notion of happiness.
