Diary of a Country Priest

An inexperienced, ailing priest shows up in the rural network of Ambricourt, where he unites the community's clergy. But the locals don't take kindly to the priest, along with also his methods and unsociable demeanor make him an outcast. During Bible studies at the girls school, his own students continually mock him. Then his attempt backfires to a scandal. His failures, justified with his health, begin to hamper his religion.
