Funny Boy

An adaptation of Shyam Selvadurai's 1994 novel Funny Boy, exploring the awakening of sex-related identification by a young kid named Arjie. As political tensions intensify to a boiling point between the minority Tamils as well as the bulk Sinhalese, a young kid comes of age in a culture and family members that does not welcome difference outside of societal standards. The movie chronicles Arjie's struggle to locate balance and also vanity regardless of the absence of compassion and understanding.
