Into the Woods
Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim is an allegory of family, love, growing up, and the grey spaces between right and wrong. Live from London's Regent's Park Open Air theatre, directed by Timothy Sheader. The Brothers Grimm's tales are given a dark and hilarious twist in Into the Woods. The stories of Red Riding Hood, Jack (from the Beanstalk), Cinderella, and Rapunzel are intertwined with the Baker and his Wife's yearning for a child. As the familiar individuals find themselves in different situations, their goals and dreams are questioned and reconsidered.
