The Importance of Being Earnest
Algernon Moncrieff is surprised to find out his affluent friend -- whom he knows as"Ernest" -- is named called Jack Worthing. Jack fabricated his alter ego to be able to flee his country estate where he takes good care of his fee. Cecily considers that Ernest is Jack's wayward brother and also is keen on his raffish way of life. Algernon, seeing a chance, supposes the individuality of Ernest and sneaks off to woo Cecily.
