Words and Music
Encomium into Larry Hart (1895-1943), seen throughout the fictive eyes of his own songwriting partner, Richard Rodgers (1902-1979): by their very first meeting, through thin years and their breakthrough, to their successes Broadway, London, and Hollywood. We see the fruits of Hart and Rodgers' alliance - elaborately staged numbers from their plays, characters' visits to golf clubs, and performances . In addition, we see Larry's scattered approach alive, his insecurities, his neglected love using Peggy McNeil, and also the successful wooing of Dorothy Feiner of Richard.
