Katri, Girl of the Meadows

Katri, Girl of the Meadows is an anime series based on the Finnish book,"Paimen, piika ja emäntä" from Auni Nuolivaara. The series was aired originally in Japan in 1984 as a portion of the kids' anthology series World Masterpiece Theater, also known as"Meisaku" from Nippon Animation. The anthology had before and afterwards produced a terrific number of series centered on various children's novels from across the globe. One of them were"My Annette: Story of the Alps" and also"Little Princess Sara". Back in Europe, where"World Masterpiece Theater" series have found huge victory,"Katri, Girl of the Meadows" made its way into different countries including Spain, Italy, France and Germany. The series hasn't been broadcast or published in Finland where it remains mostly unknown.
