Tales of the Unexpected
Tales of the Unusual is a British television show that aired between 1979 and 1988. Each episode told a narrative, often with undertones that were wryly and black, having an unexpected twist ending. Ancient episodes were based on short stories by Roald Dahl gathered in the novels Tales of Kiss Kiss the Unusual and Somebody Like You.
The show had been created by Anglia Television for ITV with interior displays whilst location filming occurred across East Anglia. The theme music for the show was compiled by composer Ron Grainer.
Even though similar in theme and title, the show isn't related to the anthology television show, Quinn Martin's Tales of the Unusual, that ran for a single season.
