The War that Made America
The War that Made America is really a PBS miniseries concerning the French and Indian War, and this was aired in two parts on January 18 & 25, 2006. The series features reenactments of historical events, together with on screen narration provided by actor Graham Greene. Much of the narrative focuses upon George Washington, linking his character from the warfare with all the later Revolution. Pontiac's Rebellion, that followed the French and Indian War, which is also covered within the collection. The series was filmed in June, July, and August 2004 at and around the Western Pennsylvania region where events took place during the warfare.
The book that accompanies the series is Your War that Made America: A Short History of the French and Indian War, by historian Fred Anderson.
