American Greed
American Greed, Also Known as American Greed: Scams, Scoundrels, And Suckers and American Greed: Scams, Schemes, And Broken Dreams, is a weekly American"true crime" television documentary series aired on CNBC. The program has been narrated by Stacy Keach Jr. and produced by Kurtis Productions.
The program focuses on the stories behind some of their largest corporate and white collar crimes in recent U.S. history. Examples include Tyco, HealthSouth and WorldCom International. Additionally, stories about financial crimes that affect dents of taxpayers are also included.
Other themes have included the narrative behind Nevada's infamous Mustang Ranch, and rise-and-fall bits on such businesspeople as boy band impresario Lou Pearlman and Mark Dreier. The series also has produced specials subjects including Bernie Madoff's life how money is earned by organized crime groups, and behind bars. In the past four, the show covered stories including highprofile cases like Marcus Schrenker, Raffaello Follieri, and Sholam Weiss.
