Asylum
Asylum is a comedy series which was displayed on Paramount Comedy Channel in 1996. Place in a mental asylum, it ran into one series of six episodes. To a point, it turned out unlike traditional sitcoms or comedy tv shows a chance by various comedians, mixed with an overall story involving humour. It is significant for between a great number of comedians, many who've gone on to work with a few of the last decade's comedy programmes. It marked the first alliance of Jessica Stevenson, Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright, who would go on to earn cult sitcom Spaced. Many of the characters names were.
David Devant & His Spirit Wife would be the"house band" for its series, performing segments in every episode, from their first album, Work, Lovelife, Miscellaneous. The lead in track"Ginger" functioned as the programme's name.
