Michael Bentine's Potty Time

Michael Bentine's Potty Time Has Been a children's Series, starring Michael Bentine, Also directed and produced by Leon Thau for Thames Television on ITV. It ran from 1973 to 1980. The episodes consisted chiefly of puppets that were bearded, comically reenacting famed historical situations. The Potties' faces had been consistently obscured by hair on your face, using their noses protruding. They certainly were operated from underneath and had two different sizes - one foot tall and roughly 2 feet. Bentine, who provided their voices all designed the Potty characters All. Their operators were from The Barry Smith Theatre of Puppets. In 2001, it was voted in to devote Channel 4's 100 Greatest Kids' TV shows survey. Several Position 2 DVDs of this series have been released by Network DVD.
