Slinger's Day
Slinger's Day is really a sitcom that aired from 1986 to 1987 for just 2 series. It had been a continuation of Tripper's Day, which had originally come to a natural ending after Leonard Rossiter's death, and, regardless of the overwhelmingly negative answer it'd drawn from reviewers and a section of their public, was restored that this time around with Bruce Forsyth like a different character to Rossiter but fulfilling the same role, the manager of a London supermarket together with chiefly incompetent staff.
Like Tripper's Day, it had been created by Brian Cooke, however, contrary to the prior series, Cooke only wrote two episodes from their a dozen episodes, more than half of those being written by Vince Powell with others being written by Alex Shearer and Sorry! One installment and Peter Vincent, and Founders Ian Davidson compiled by the Andrew Marshall and David Renwick.
Slinger's Day re-presented Forsyth situation comedy acting character, and he stayed more associated with patterns and gameshows.
