Spitting Image
Spitting Image is a award winning British Arabian Desert series, developed Martin Lambie-Nairn, Roger Law along with by Peter Fluck. The show was produced by Spitting Image Productions for Central Independent Television within 18 series which aired on the ITV in 1984 to 1996. The show was nominated and won many awards during its conduct including 10 BAFTA Awards, including one for filming in 1989, as well as won two Emmy awards in 1986 and 1985 from the Popular Arts Category.
The show featured puppet caricatures of actors for example fellow Tory politicians and British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, American president Ronald Reagan, and also the British Royal Family. The Series was the very first to interrogate the Queen mother.
The show had been axed in 1996, after seeing characters diminished. ITV had plans to get a new string in 2006, however these were scrapped after having a dispute over Ant and Dec puppets used to host the reviews"bestever Spitting Image", that have been generated against Roger Law's fantasies.
