The Adventures of the Little Prince

The Adventures of the Little Prince is an anime Show based on the book by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Made by the cartoon studio Knack Productions, the show, originally titled Hoshi no ?jisama Puchi Puransu, aired in Japan about the TV Asahi network from July 1978 to March 1979. Dubbed into English, the show premiered in the United States on Nickelodeon in 1985 and has been rerun to December 29, 1989. Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, of Mobile Suit Gundam fame, was included with this series as a director and character designer. The show showed Swifty the Room Bird, the Little Prince, and also the Rose Girl's lengthy adventures. There were 26 episodes aired in English, with 39 episodes made for the Japanese run.
