The Bronx Is Burning is a television Play that Surfaced on ESPN after the 2007 MLB Homerun Derby and on July 9, 2007. It is an accommodated from Jonathan Mahler book, Ladies and Gentlemen, The Bronx Is Burning. The publication focuses on baseball's conquer hysteria and the turmoil of both 1977 nyc and a New York Yankees found embody the hopes and anxieties of an unforgettable summer under the leadership of George Steinbrenner.
While producers Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins, Joe Davola, writer and executive producer James Solomon, also director Jeremiah Chechik work on the show the show stars John Turturro, Oliver Platt, and Daniel Sunjata. ESPN Original Entertainment in conjunction produces the show with Tollin/Robbins Productions. Filming began at Connecticut and New York, on September 18, 2006.
The series' 2007 debut marks the 30th anniversary of the 1977 World Series win to the Yankees, the first under Steinbrenner.
