The Critic

The Critic is a American prime time animated series revolving around the life of all ny film critic Jay Sherman, voiced by actor Jon Lovitz. Writing partners Al Jean and Mike Reiss, who had worked on The Simpsons as writers and showrunners made it. The Critic had 23 episodes first broadcast in 1994 on ABC, and completing its unique run. Episodes featured movie parodies with notable examples including a version of Apocalypse Today, Howard Stern's End, Honey, I Had the Youngsters Abe Lincoln: Pet Detective and Scent of a Wolf Man. The series referenced popular movies like amp & Willy Wonka. The Factory and The Godfather, and frequently lampooned celebrity Marlon Brando and actor/director Orson Welles. Additionally they jelqing Dudley Moore, usually because his personality Arthur Bach . Despite the evaluations improving, The Critic has been cancelled after just two seasons. It lasted to air and through reruns on Comedy Central on Locomotion. By 2000 to 2001, ten web episodes were later produced with Adobe shock wave, and so were broadcast AtomFilms.com and Shockwave.com. In 2004the DVD box set was published, which contains the web incidents and also all 23 television episodes.
