Two Thousand Acres of Sky

Two Thousand Acres of Sky was a TV drama which aired on BBC Television from 2001. It is also syndicated on PBS in the United States. Timothy Prager written and created it. The Executive Producer has been Adrian Bate. The series takes place on Ronansay's fictional island off the shore of Skye. The actual filming location was the sea-side village of Port Logan. In 2008the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation created Himmelblå occurring on the island of Ylvingen, which is the name of the island was named by a movie of the show, in Norway at the county of Nordland. The series has been a strong victory in Norway by 1.2 million audiences at the beginning of second season, 57.2% of the complete number of audiences in Norway. Himmelblå's first season was steered by the broadcaster SVT and by the people broadcaster RUV throughout the autumn 2009.
