Wheel of Fortune
Wheel of Fortune is an American television game series. The series comes with a contest where contestants solve word puzzles, very similar to those found in Hangman, to acquire awards and cash determined by turning a carnival wheel. The daytime version aired on NBC in January 6, 1975, to June 30, 1989. It was on CBS until January 1 1, 1991, in July 17, 1989, and came back to NBC from January 14 as it was canceled eternally. The daily variant version of the show proved on September 19, 1983.
The variant was hosted by Susan Stafford and Chuck Woolery , together with Charlie O'Donnell as its announcer. O'Donnell left in 1980, Woolery at 1981, and Stafford at 1982. They were replaced Pat Sajak, by Jack Clark, and Vanna White. After Clark's 1988 passing, M. G. Kelly took over temporarily as announcer until O'Donnell came back 1989. O'Donnell proceeded to announce until his 2010 passing, and then he was replaced by Jim Thornton on the series that was syndicated, and stayed until its rescue on the daytime variation. Rolf Benirschke left the daytime variation at January 1989 to sponsor the talk series The Pat Sajak Show, and replaced on that variant sajak. Bob Goen replaced if the daytime series moved to CBS, 13, Benirschke stayed as sponsor until the daytime series was canceled altogether. The version was hosted by Sajak and White since its origin.
