Dead Souls

At Gansu Province, northwest China, lie the remains of prisoners abandoned in the Gobi Desert decades ago. Designated as ultra-rightists from the Anti-Rightist campaign of 1957 of the Communist Party, they starved to death in the reeducation camps. The film invites us to meet with up with the survivors of the decks to figure out first hand who these persons were, the hardships and what was their fate.
