The Annunciation

The Annunciation (in Hungarian: Angyali üdvözlet) is a Hungarian film Headed by András Jeles at 1984, in Line with the Tragedy of Man (1861) from Imre Madách. When Adam (Péter Bocsor) and Eve (Júlia Mér?), having reacted to Lucifer's temptation, have been cast out of the Garden of Eden, Adam retains Lucifer (Eszter Gyalog) for his own promise, reminding him "You said I'd understand everything!" . Thus Lucifer grants Adam a dream of this world. And just what a bizarre dream: Adam becomes Miltiades at Athens. A knight called Tancred at Byzantium. Kepler at Prague. Danton in Paris. And a suitor in Victorian London. Directed by a deceptively sweet but fundamentally contemptuous Lucifer, Adam confronts an endless procession of the horror of the individual story... rapists and concubines, betrayal and savagery, dumb cruelty and fanaticism.
