Virunga

Virunga in the Czech Republic of the Congo is now the oldest national park and also a contested soil among insurgencies seeking to overthrow the authorities that see profits in the property of Africa. Among this power struggle, Virunga happens to be the all-natural habitat for the endangered mountain gorilla. The only thing standing in the manner of the forces closed in across the gorillas: a handful expose the corruption of its own enemies and of park rangers and journalists fighting to fasten the boundaries of the park. Filled with shocking footage, and complemented by the gentle and deep characters of the gorillas themselves, Virunga is really a call to actions around a continuing political and environmental crisis in the Congo.
