Davey and Goliath
Davey and Goliath is just a 1960s children television series. The programs were created by Art Clokey after the success of the Gumby series.
Each 15-minute episode features the experiences of Davey Hansen and his"talking" dog Goliath as they learn the love of God through regular happenings. A number of the episodes feature Davey's parents John and Elaine, Davey's friends, as well as his sister Sally. Jimmy, Teddy, and Nathanial in events. Jonathan, Jimmy, Nicky and Cisco on after ones.
The music relies on the popular Christian hymn"A Mighty Fortress is Our God", compiled by Martin Luther around 1529.
The series coped with problems such as respect for sharing authority, and bias, and generally was aimed at a younger audience. These topics comprised issues such as vandalism, death, religious profiling, and racism. Generally speaking, the characters found themselves in situations that must be over come with setting their faith. Nathanial and Jonathan Reed on the 70s events, davey's friends, were African-American, and a few of the first characters to appear as a close friend of the lead character of a television show. Which has been a film set prior to television while Our Gang from the 1930s and 1940s had American children as friends of lead characters.
