Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks

Jakers! The Adventures of Piggley Winks is an animated children's television series. The series is animated using vision and broadcast on PBS kiddies by 2003 to 2008 in the USA. The series chronicles the boyhood adventures of Piggley Winks, an pig out of Ireland and how he relates the stories to his grandchildren. The word"jakers" was a euphemism for"Jesus" in Ireland during the 1950s and 1960s and has been an exclamation of surprise, joy, dismay, or alert. Piggley and his father put it to use in order to express their pleasure when they detect something in their own adventures.
