Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water is a Japanese television Show inspired by the works of Jules Verne, Especially Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the exploits of Captain Nemo and Also the Ocean. The show was created by Toho, in the concept of Hayao Miyazaki, and headed by Hideaki Anno of Gainax. The show follows a young inventor named a former circus performer named Nadia, who wants to return to her home in Africa and Jean. It aired from 1990 to 1991 and ran for 39 episodes, and distributed by ADV Films in the United States. ADV's Anime Network has broadcast the show in the United States.
