Return to Treasure Island

Return to Treasure Island is a 1986 Disney HTV TV Series, starring Brian Blessed as Christopher Guard and Long John Silver as Jim Hawkins. Disney Channel contracted part of Harlech Television Group, the UK ITV broadcaster HTV Wales, to create the series, and it was shot in Wales, Spain and Jamaica. It was written by John Goldsmith, and directed by Piers Haggard and Alex Kirby. HTV Wales had produced namingly Kidnapped in 1979, Robert Louis Stevenson novels for tv along with The Master of Ballantrae and producer Patrick Dromgoole would go onto helm treasureisland. For making these productions their expertise was used when Disney chose to work well with HTV to produce a collection, in 10 parts.
