The Forest Rangers
The Forest Rangers has been a television series which ran from 1963 to 1965. It was a Co production between CBC Television and ITC Entertainment and has been Canada's first television series produced in colour. The series was set by executive producer Maxine Samuels.
The series ran for three seasons, a total of 104 colour episodes. Early episodes of this series were aired in serialized form included in a CBC children's series entitled razzledazzle, hosted by Michelle Finney and Alan Hamel.
This has been the first appearance in a major series by Gordon Pinsent. He left the series in 1965 to celebrity in Quentin Durgens, M.P.
In June 2004there is a reunion for ex-cast and fans south of Kleinburg. Six of the rangers seemed and Peter Tully flew from his home in Ireland. Still another reunion occurred at the actual studios where the series was filmed. This time around Gordon Pinsent and nine rangers were in attendance.
The show's first season was released on DVD by Imavision in early 2007.
