The Max Headroom Show
The Max Headroom Show started life in the UK. It was created by Carlton television and displayed on Channel 4 using an initial season of 6 shows. The series featured actor Matt Frewer playing with the job as talk show sponsor Max Headroom that was computer-generated. It came back 1986 for another season of ten episodes plus a Christmas special.
The season was Max playing music videos, often in parts as he disrupted them. He had a guest weekly onto a television on the pub at a lounge bar setting with him. The interviews were brief and always got on the topic of Max's obsession with golfclubs. Each incident was carried by Max's intro which said"He's the toast of town. He's the sugar replacement in your java. He's a bon vivant, a amigo, a goomba, a mensch, and the musketeer. He's the apple of one's attention and aren't you glad he is here. Writer from the wax and shine at the carwash around the corner, so it's the man of the houror for a good half an hour, Max Headroom."
The season was a show that is larger and had a studio audience which Max would socialize with, especially due to his normal screenplay. In most cases the winner got their prize, or so the quiz never happened, sometimes because he ran out of period after explaining the rules which were different weekly. Most weeks there is a performance art style action at the studio. A guest is weekly too - sometimes in the studio via another television. Max would sing comedic music of their or her own at a crooner style.
