The Metal Mickey TV Show
Metal Mickey was a robot, as well as the name of a spin-off tv show starring exactly the exact character. A modernised fantasy of a 1950s space toy first appeared on television in the ITV kids' magazine show that the Saturday Banana, created by Southern Television in 1978. Humphrey Barclay watched Mickey on Jimmy Savile's'Jim'll Fix It' tv show. Seeing the children chatting in the marketplace with the favorable robot, this resulted in the creation of their Metal Mickey tv show. Within a month that the pilot had been videotaped and after this the series went live with its first six episodes. 41 episodes were made in all.
Micky Dolenz, formerly of this Monkees pop group, was introduced in to produce and direct together with Nic Phillips and David Crossman.
